Kew Gardens Studio

I am able to offer tuition tailored to individual requirements on subjects relating to character creation and development using a variety 2D and 3D methods which I find helps to facilitate drawing. This can be further extended to include character creation using linocut and collage techniques as well.

For illustrating children, I will guide you in making a small ‘wireform' child figure which can be animated to allow drawing in any required position. Further to this, I will provide information sheets as to how we measure child proportions and flesh-out the ‘wireform' figures on paper. Wireform animal characters can be constructed as well, as required. For those of you who are very keen, I also use a wireform hand model which can be made and manipulated to aid drawing hands in any position.

Most of my studio sessions take place on the weekend with one morning and one afternoon session available daily, usually of two and a half hours each. These sessions will be booked after discussion with each student determining their particular requirements and a mutually convenient date and time.

My studio is in Kew, Richmond (London) and is about 7 minutes walk from Kew Gardens station on the District line underground.

Please e-mail me to discuss your requirements or ask any questions.
