Looking at Children's Books
This one day seminar is organised by the Association of Illustrators (AOI) and is held right next door to Central Saint Martins at the Cochrane Theatre.
Monday 26 April 2010, from 10:00 to 5:30 and costs £55.00 for non-members.
I have been to two of these events and found them very informative and stimulating. The audience tends to be made up of people interested in illustrating and writing children's books, as well as published illustrators and authors, so during the breaks there is no shortage of interesting and like-minded people to talk to.
I plan to go this year and would recommend that anyone who is serious about approaching a publisher in the future, try to attend this seminar to gather information and hopefully to also begin making some useful contacts.
